What can I do if DisneyLife doesn’t sound right?

The DisneyLife app uses your device’s own volume settings. If you’re not sure how to change the volume of your device, take a look at How do I change my volume?

If you can’t hear anything at all, check your device isn’t on silent, and that there’s nothing in your headphone port. Then try the following steps. Check after each step to see if it’s fixed the problem.

Open a different movie, TV show, song or audiobook

Check to see if these sound problems are affecting other titles on DisneyLife.

If they are, chat with us.
If not, move on to the other steps below.

Restart device

  • Switch off your device completely. Once it’s shut down safely, switch it on again.
Restarting your device is often the simplest way to fix issues like this.

Update device

  • Make sure your device is running the latest operating system.

Reinstall the app


  1. Tap and hold the app icon until it jiggles.
  2. Tap the x in the top left corner.
  3. Press Delete.
  4. Reinstall the app via the App Store.


  1. Go to your devices settings menu, then apps or application manager.
  2. Tap the DisneyLife app.
  3. Tap uninstall.
  4. Reinstall from the Playstore.

This will ensure you’re using the latest version of DisneyLife.Note that your Downloads will not be kept if the DisneyLife app is uninstalled from the device.
