Why isn’t DisneyLife working with Apple AirPlay?

With AirPlay, you can stream DisneyLife to a range of devices. If you want to know more about streaming DisneyLife, check out Can I use DisneyLife with my TV?

If AirPlay isn’t working as it should, check to see if your device is having issues with other apps. If it is, contact your manufacturer.

If you’re using an AirPlay TV dongle, note that you will not be able to stream, as it is a HDMI connection. Instead, try and use Airplay from within the player.

If the issue only appears with DisneyLife, here are a few things you can try. Check after each step to see if the problem has been solved.

Restart your device

·        Switch off both devices completely. Once they are shut down safely, switch on again.
Restarting devices is often the simplest way to fix issues like this.

Update your device

  • Make sure your device is running on the latest version of the operating system. To find out more about how to update your device, go to your device manufacturer’s website.

Update your DisneyLife app

How do I update the app?
You can always find the latest version of DisneyLife in the app store for Apple or Play store for Android. 

Go to the Updates tab – DisneyLife will appear here if there’s a new version of the app to download. All you need to do is tap Update.

How long the update takes will depend on your device and your internet connection.

Remember: you’ll need to update the app separately on each of your registered devices.

Although uninstalling and reinstalling apps is a common way to get the latest version, note that your Downloads will not be kept if the DisneyLife app is uninstalled from the device.

Check if Apple Airplay Mirroring is activated

  • Apple AirPlay allows you to mirror the whole screen of your device to a bigger screen, however this function is currently not supported by DisneyLife. Please check if Mirroring is switched on and switch it off. Then try to stream content again.
