Why isn't my media streaming device working with DisneyLife?

You can use DisneyLife on many different devices provided they meet the required operating system, for Apple devices they must be iOS 8 or later and for Android devices they must be 4.3 or later.

Check internet connection

  • A weak internet connection can cause issues. Check your connection strength, and suggest they move closer to their Wi-Fi router.
  • If the issue seems to be with the device, check out Why won't DisneyLife connect to the internet.

Restart device 
  • Switch off your device completely, then, when it’s shut down safely, switch it on again. You should restart all devices being used.
Restarting a device is often the simplest way to fix issues like this.

Reinstall the app

  1. Tap and hold the app icon until it jiggles.
  2. Tap the x in the top left corner.
  3. Press Delete.
  4. Reinstall the app via the App Store.
  1. Go to your devices Settings menu, then Apps or Application manager.
  2. Tap the DisneyLife app.
  3. Tap Uninstall.
  4. Reinstall from the Play Store.

It’s recommended for Android users to log into Google Play as from time to time you may receive a message asking to Update Google Play Services.

You will then be redirected to the Google Play Store where you can update. After completing the update you will be able to go back to enjoying the DisneyLife app.

If you are having any difficulties with the streaming unit itself we would recommend contacting the device manufacturer.
